I Know Chicago: It's a Good Day to be Gay

Yay! So proud to be an Illinoisan today, even if this Illinoisan lives in California.

Today Civil Union laws go into effect in Illinois. There is a required waiting period of 24 hours after getting your papers before you can get hitched. That means, tomorrow the gay wedding excitement begins. (Happens to also be my birthday…Social Justice is one hell of a birthday present!)
